Tavern on the Rail is a fine dining establishment in Fredericks Hall located in Louisa County, Virginia.
The original 1837 building was restored in 2001 by owners Melody and Ken Bowers. The main dining room
is located upstairs and offers fine dining with weekly seafood specialties. The restaurant is open
Thursday, Friday, & Saturday. Reservations are suggested for dining in the main room on Friday & Saturday

The original structure of Tavern on the Rail, the Harris-Poindexter House and Store, was listed with
the National Register of Historic Places in May of 2002.
